First Bucket Filler Assembly

Yesterday we had our first ever, "Bucket Filler," assembly and it was amazing! 3H came away empty handed but we are pumped to redeem ourselves next month and come away with a win!

HUGE congrats to, Isabelle, Kayden and Mckenna! They were the, "Bucket Filler," award recipients for the month of November. Thanks for filling those buckets and being great kids!

Next week we will begin our monster writing activity.  I thought that this video may help generate some ideas in your heads and help you to decide which kind of monster to design and write about.  I have also included a couple of pictures of some of the students work from last year for you to take a look at.  They are pictured with some grade 9 students who were challenged to draw the monster they had described.

Halloween Party

Hi Parents,

Here is the schedule of events for tomorrow:

10:15-11:45- Carving pumpkins- Gavin has supplied these pumpkins for us. Parent volunteers are more then welcome to join us for this event.  If you have any pumpkin carving utensils please send them with your child.  

12:30-12:45- Dress-up- Students will change into their costumes.  Please make sure costumes are appropriate and no weapons are brought to school.  Masks can be worn and then removed when we start center time.  

12:45-3:00- Halloween Centers- Students will rotate through a number of centers.  One of the centers will be the snack table.  As mentioned in the letter that went home, students are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack that will be eaten during this time.

Grand Opening

Tuesday was a very special day! Thanks to those parents who were able to join us and help FHV officially open up its doors.  Here is a video of the wonderful choir performing, "Where is God" and the cutting of the ribbon... Enjoy!
